An easy mod for better sound.
Wire this small resistor in parallel with a .001uF capacitor, between the input and output lugs of a guitar volume control pot, to smooth out treble bleed. You'll get more uniform tone from 1 to 10, with a more rounded sound at low volume.

Hear the difference in TradeSecrets Issue 182.

This is a 1% tolerance resistor. Due to its small size, we recommend using Alligator Clip Heat Sinks when soldering it in place.

Pack of 10.

Resistors

I liked these because they came nicely layed-out in a neat row with a piece of tape across the ends so they didn't arrive all bent-up.

This treble bleed circuit is pretty common, but very effective! The 150K ohm resister is generally used for a 250 pot.

they work when installed with capacitors

I needed to relearn how to play my guitar because I thought it had increased in the quality of tone and articulation! I was shocked and impressed with mod improvements to a guitar. I'm looking for more mods!
