Produced from a concept by master luthier John Monteleone and made in America, the Allen tailpiece is made from sturdy cast bronze for a consistent string angle over the bridge. The contemporary one-piece design makes string installation fast and easy. There's no cover to rattle, stick or lose, and no stamped parts that bend over time. Many players find the Allen tailpiece enhances the sustain of their instruments as well.
This tailpiece is featured on Breedlove's Master Class mandolins.
The mounting surface of the Allen tailpiece is radiused to fit the instrument's curvature. Mounting screws included. When installing this tailpiece as a replacement, please note that the mounting screw holes don't match traditional Gibson screw spacing.
The string posts accept standard loop-end mandolin strings.
