Adjustable Archtop Mandolin Bridge

While not quite up to some other acoustic bridges, these are functional and quite precisely made.

I've used this StewMac bridge and one considered top of the line. I see absolutely no difference in the build quality. This bridge is every bit the same bridge. All mandolin bridge feet need to be shaped to conform to the mandolin top... that's an expected chore with any bridge.

I have used 4 of these bridges, on my home made mandolins, over the last couple of years and I found them all to be of the highest quality. It does take a considerable amount of sanding to get the feet to fit the curve of the top.

I replaced the damaged bridge of my Epiphone Mandolin with this one bought by Stewmac. It was my first order and my first bridge replacement and i'm very satisfied about the result. I had to work a little to fit body shape but now i found a good setup and the sound is better than before.

This mandolin bridge works great. After a bit of fitting and fine tuning it works great.

Hardly and shaping was needed, sturdy, and well built for the price.

I was surprised with the excellent quality of this bridge. I have used it on mandolin that I built and it works perfectly.The base needed a bit of sanding, but that wasn't a big issue.

The ebony is of good quality, the workmanship impeccable.

The base is rather flat, even for the 1920 instrument I have whose top has flattened from plastic deformation of the wood after years of string tension.

I wonder why one of the outside string bearing areas is not machined to the maximum of compensation. In my experience, the bridge requires being placed at an angle to get proper intonation of the highest and lowest string. I've not yet been able to string up the instrument, so I will have to see how the intonation turns out at a later time.
