The shape of the compensated top allows a bit of filing for custom intonation adjustments, and the thumbwheels are sized for easier height adjustment. Ready for slotting in your shop to suit your string spacing requirements.

For optimum volume, tone and stability, the arched base should be sanded to match the curvature of your mandolin top. Our Archtop Bridge Fitting Jig makes the job easy.

13/16" (20.64mm) minimum height adjustment.

The posts and 15/32"-diameter (23.81mm) thumbwheels are available in nickel, black (works with any tailpiece or tuner finishes) or gold.

Mandolin Bridge

Used this bridge on one of my mandolin builds. Very pleased with the quality and it had a great tone. It needed very little sanding on the base to suit the arch of my instrument. Excellent value for money.

A Solid Replacement Bridge

I used this to replace a cracked bridge on an old Epi A-style. Not only was this perfect replacement, it was even an upgrade from the original bridge. Nice dark ebony, tight grain that filed smooth and even. FYI: Expect to shape the feet to fit the specific curvature of your Mandolin. (tape sandpaper to the body to sand to the curve) Expect to measure and file string slots. (a triangle needle file works fine) Various builders have different string spacing between the two strings of each pairs and between the four pairs of strings. All in all, 15 minutes of work and the mandolin was back up and running.

Next time ask

Bridge quality was fine but really should have been encouraged more to have slots for strings cut. Mando just doesn't sound like it used to. Sincerely Dissappointed

Fine Bridge

These bridges are exactly as advertised. Great quality with a nice finish. The bottoms are semi shaped taking most of the tedious work out of the replacement

Good Value For Basic Bridge

While not quite up to some other acoustic bridges, these are functional and quite precisely made.

Why buy a different bridge?

I've used this StewMac bridge and one considered top of the line. I see absolutely no difference in the build quality. This bridge is every bit the same bridge. All mandolin bridge feet need to be shaped to conform to the mandolin top... that's an expected chore with any bridge.

Adjustable Archtop Mandolin Bridge.

I have used 4 of these bridges, on my home made mandolins, over the last couple of years and I found them all to be of the highest quality. It does take a considerable amount of sanding to get the feet to fit the curve of the top.

Bridge replacement

I replaced the damaged bridge of my Epiphone Mandolin with this one bought by Stewmac. It was my first order and my first bridge replacement and i'm very satisfied about the result. I had to work a little to fit body shape but now i found a good setup and the sound is better than before.
