Locking Nut Sets

Good peice of guitar hardware. I especially like the option to mount it from the top. Makes life a little easier.

after finding out that there are different sizes of floyd rose parts, it became terribly hard to find the right locking nuts for my Kramer Baretta. Thank goodness that Stew Mac sold me the locking nut set. Now I can do all the whammy dive bar antics that I want and my guitar stays in tune again. Quick service, good price, a true pleasure to work with.

Installed a black R4 on a Washburn RS980. I needed to replace the nut because the original nut was falling off due to the weird way the strings pulled on the reverse headstock, the screws holding down the original nut had been totally stripped, glue and dowels did not look like a viable solution, drilling through with the bolts going to other side of the neck is much sturdier. This is a solid nut that has well fitting parts, a major upgrade over the licensed nut that had loose string clamps. I have never seen such tight fitting clamps. One thing of note, in my case I needed to have the neck drilled, I took it to Gryphon stringed instruments in Palo Alto, CA, they did an excellent job. The nut prior was screw on, and the guy told me I could have the new R4 nut screwed down as well, and there was a slight chance of hitting the truss rod. They managed to do a good job and truss rod is in tact. I took it to them because I figured they would have better measurements and tools, and well they did an excellent job.
