Well I am impressed! I now have fret files that are going to gather dust. I will be buying more of these nuts. I routed a flat on the headstock and placed the nut on, and on the first try I had crazy low action, that was exactly what I wanted. Easy install if simple is what you are looking for.
I bought this nut to better match up with my neck than the '80s Floyd Rose nut with the standard 10" radius. The neck is a Jackson-headstock, Ebony-fretboard neck made in Canada that I bought from Stew-Mac in 1988 (!) - it has a 16" radius. I chose to just top-mount it (no screws through the back). The flatter radius ensures lower action at the nut and it is keeping the guitar in tune through heavy Floyd abuse. I couldn't be happier!
Bought this to replace a stripped one on my Jackson guitar. Was shipping very fast and saved my guitar!! Trust this seller they have great products.
I bought this to replace the nut on my strat( i.e. Jeff beck, dave murray.) and for about a week it was AWESOME. But when I changed the strings there were deep grooves from the strings in the nut already. When I put them back on there was some binding but not too bad. It is an okay deal for the price.
Good peice of guitar hardware. I especially like the option to mount it from the top. Makes life a little easier.
fits well, performs as expected. looks pimp to boot
after finding out that there are different sizes of floyd rose parts, it became terribly hard to find the right locking nuts for my Kramer Baretta. Thank goodness that Stew Mac sold me the locking nut set. Now I can do all the whammy dive bar antics that I want and my guitar stays in tune again. Quick service, good price, a true pleasure to work with.
