I needed a tremolo for my AXL guitar and tried several strat types and none of the threads would fit, then I bought this one from Stew-Mac and it was perfect. I highly recommend it.
I recently bought an american standard strat without a trem arm and so I picked this one up. The angle is different than the stock item, but after using it a bit, I think I like it better...
The price and quality are very good but I must agree with others here about the angle. The arm sticks out more than any other bars I have (I have many Strats, have used these arms in Fender, Gotoh and GFS blocks). I've tried to bend them flatter but the arms are so strong they don't change much. The threads fit great on US vintage style blocks, If the geometry was better I would absolutely rate 5 stars.
Perfect for my Gotoh Traditional Tremolo for Strat
Use it on my american strat vintage bridge but the angle of arm protrudes to far out making it very difficult to use.
The arm seems to be well-made. Threads fit authentic USA Fender block. The only thing that bothers me is that I personally would like the arm to be of more straight type, similar to '70s arm. Now it is modeled after older, much more angled design, which I do not prefer. Other than this, excellent arm for a few dollars. Chrome seems '70s tough.
Works just like it should...a tremolo arm. No problems with it
I bought this arm for a Burns Marquee without the size, Burns didn't answer me for the size. It looks very good, fits well, maybe a little too much floating but I'm happy to wangle.
It seems to be 7/8'th scalewize, and if one tries to install it, it screws in losely and floats very close to the body. Not for standard Fender bridges i guess. Otherwize, the quality seems good enough (if you don't use it like Beck or Hendrix).
This does not fit the Fender Deluxe Strat tremolos. I had no idea that the arm on a Fender Deluxe tremolo pops in & locks and doesn't screw in. Plus this one in a much smaller diameter. I was hoping someone at Stewmac would know this since I specifically asked if it would fit and they couldn't tell me. Good thing it is cheap, it would probably cost more to return it so I will just hang on to it.
