The Key

...the proper way to use the tool is to loosen the string and move the saddle in small increments, it usually don't take more than two times to get it right. The people that are having problems are the ones that don't loosen the string before the adjustment is made. If in doubt watch a "How TO" video on "You Tube" and you will master this.....

Although I could just loosen the saddle and adjust by hand, this little gem will hold everything in place perfectly. It saves a ton of time! I'm glad I invested in one!

Simple and does what it is supposed to do. If you have any problems with this tool, perhaps you should just let someone with patience do your adjustments. Makes things a lot easier. Worth it to get it.

ce petit outil simplifie enormément l'intonation d'une guitare avec un floyd...l'utilisation est simple, le seul petit probleme est qu'il faut passer la clé allen pour serrer-désserrer la vis qui bloque le pontet....mais le travail est réellement facilité et fait en une seule fois.

Muy buena herramienta, pero encuentro que es mucho mas efectiva trabajando con floyd rose originales, con lo licenciados no funciona muy bien debido a las dimensiones de estos.

I read all of the reviews of this tool and bought it anyway; I'm glad I did. This tool works great. Of course you can do a setup without it, but it really does speed things up. If you understand what the tool is for then you can figure out how to use it just by looking at it. It works on original floyds and the floyd rose special too. By the way, the reviewer who thinks you should be able to use the tool without loosening the string keeping the string tuned to pitch must not understand that the pitch of a guitar string changes when the tension on that string changes...come on man!

Great Idea, but needs improvement.Thumb wheel hard to turn when tuned to pitch(one review suggested you should loosen strings before adjusting,kinda defeats the idea)Clumsy to install and remove.

A video showing how this tool works is needed. I don't understand how this makes intonating an original Floyd Rose easier. When the strings are under tension, loosening the nut clamp and using the key to intonate tends to "push" the saddle screw down instead of pushing the saddle forwards or backwards.

If you loosen the tension on the strings before you use the key, what is the point of the key? You might as well just move the saddle forward or back a millimeter at a time and retune until you get the intonation right. Maybe I don't understand how the key works, but from the other reviews it seems a lot of other people don't understand it either. It's Stew-Mac's job to make sure its customers understand the tools it sells. So lets see a tutorial video folks!

The tool is not really practice, the intonation is more easy without it. The Key does not make a good job because when it is instalated in the Floyd Rose the tuner changes, the saddle is colocated in one different level, it makes that intonation change with The Key is putted and it is putted off.
