I buy alot of used guitars and guitar bodies. They are usualy missing parts, especially the trem posts. I always buy these if i dont have the correct size in my trem parts drawer and just replace the bushings as well. The oldest pair i have i probably bought 4 or 5 years ago, and their holding up great. I have noticed they've changed from flathead adjustment to allen key. I must say i do like the flathead style posts better because its easier to strip or round out the allen style. But i still will keep buying them reguardless. In fact im going to place an order for some right now!!!...hahahahahaaaa
used these on a cheap headless guitar. the stock ones are put into soft aluminum and they broke out. mounted these into the body and they work great, the quality of these are perfect, the guitar is still not a steinberger but i can have fun at home with this one now.
I recently installed these replacement post and bushings on a customers guitar. They were larger inserts than original (not a factory floyd trim) and it was a little tricky centering the perfect marks to install (no fault of these bushings) ,but once i got every thing doweled redrilled and the inserts installed the adjustments were much more precise than on any other "Floyd" I have ever done!! Well done Stu mac.
I bought these to replace the studs that broke on my Ibanez, and they blew me away. This is the real McCoy man, holding the old studs and the new ones, I could feel the huge difference between them. I have no doubt these babies will last me a good long while.
