6mm Tremolo Arm

I went to guitar center to see if they could sell me a 6mm tremolo arm which is what I specifically asked for. The "tech" looked at me stupified. He didn't know that they only basically come in two sizes, and had no idea how to tell which was which. Then he asked me what kind of guitar it was for and I told him that he has probably never even heard of my guitar and it is called a Spotlight. He looked at me like I was crazy. He said I'd need to bring it in so they could "fit" the right one. Well, I got the heck out of there for the last time ever and got online and ordered the one that Stew Mac has. It showed up in like two days. It fit the old Steinberger KB tremolo a little loosely, which is how the original arms fit these trems and part of the reason that they're always missing. It seemed a tad tall for my Spotlight so I hacked off the threaded portion on the insert end. My Spotlight isn't threaded and they weren't needed anyway. Looks good that way now. I also left about three threads and put a drop of blue Locktite on them before putting the arm back in. After it set up it made a nice tight but still movable fit. If it ever wears out I can just put some new Locktite on it, but its still good after a couple of months of light use.

Quality substitutes.

I was pleasantly surprised when I got this tremolo arm. It is super-sturdy! If you've bent one in the past like me, get this, you will not be disappointed.

Arrived quick. Looks clean and sharp (no nub). I don't like loose trems, so in tightening it in all the way I had to bend it a few degrees high to clear the tone knob (ibanez rg series), but after that it worked beautifully!

A lot of the bridges that we get in the shop are imported, namely Takeuchi that comes on Kramer Japan/ESP made guitars. If you're missing an arm for one, this one fits the bill. Nice job on making them.

At first I was worried that I needed that rubber endy thing. But now I like it without.

Standard 6MM Tremelo Arm. New condition - nicely chromed - great original replacement.

What can I say, it fits my son's Peavey Raptor tremolo and it works. It would be nice if it came with cap for the end but that's easily rectified with some tool dip or shoehorning one of the caps from the site on with some heat and BFI (Brute Force and Ignorance).
