TonePros Locking Studs

These may seem a bit expensive at first blush, but having them in hand is another thing entirely. Very nicely designed, and effective especially in concert with a lightweight tailpiece. I will add my voice to the choir to not over-tighten, and follow the well-written instructions. A worth-while upgrade on my LP Junior.

This one is a great upgrade for any project, but seems a little fragile. Just be careful when installing and adjusting!

Subjectively, these seem to have improved tone and sustain a bit on my LP Standard. But, unquestionably, they are worth the money if only to keep the tailpiece from falling off and dinging something (or itself!) when changing strings. I'm seriously considering the companion locking bridge for the same reason.

I liked these when I first received them. However, in the process of adjusting the bridge height, I broke the head of one these off. It is really a rather small thread size and soft material. The head twisted off as I was tightening it. These are really over-priced for the quality. I decided to order the standard studs to replace these. Although they are not "locking" they are a lot stronger and serve their purpose just fine.

I've put these on every guitar I own (7), and they really do make a big difference in tone. You get the biggest difference when you use the locking bridge too! These are GREAT!!!

They fit most stud inserts but aren't hard to swap. Improved sustain! They look stock so no one would guess.
