String Saver Tune-o-matic Saddles

Fitted these to my Les Paul Studio. Had chronic string breaking problems for many years due to my heavy right hand technique.These babies solved the problem in under an hour. Easy to fit & have also made tuning smoother. I wish I would have had these 15 years ago..Ernie Ball has made a lot of money from me in that time : )

Put these on a 2009 lespaul Gold top. It was a good move for saving strings.
Did a little tuning on the shoulders for a perfect fit !

If you don't mind doing a little filing to make them fit right, take your time, file a little, check it, file more if needed. I found you need to do that under the saddle where it seats into the bridge to make them work. But after they are installed they work great! Fixed my high E string breakage issues and also helped the guitar stay in tune. I have an SG Classic that is 3 years old. I am very pleased with these! Go for it. And as some had mentioned, there is a little bit of loss of sustain, but not enough to be worried about. These guitars ring out very well. Keep Playing form the heart! Geno

I tried to put these on a 1998 LP standard, and they didn't fit, and I had to return them. If you look at the picture I got here, the shoulder height on my pre-2000 LPS was about 3mm, while the saddles I got from StewMac were 4mm. More importantly, the shoulder base to hole center measurement was different, and off JUST enough to make them not fit my pre-2000 TOM. I would have had to file the shoulders down on these to make them fit my bridge. Not trying to bring business away from StewMac, but a quick look at GraphTech's website shows that they have a pre-2000 TOM and a post-2000 TOM saddles, and StewMac doesn't offer this distinction. Keep in mind that there IS a difference and these are NOT universal.

One-star review because of the lack of information provided with ordering and not having the option to choose. StewMac says 'fits most TOMs after 1975" but in this case, not so much. There are big differences.

These puppies are the BEST! I used to break a string every gig on my LP Studio, until I installed the String Savers. NOW, no more broken strings, GREAT TONE, longer string life and no more headaches!!!
