Tune-o-matic detail Bridge & Tailpiece Measurements
String spread is the distance between the centers of the outer strings on a bridge or tailpiece.

Saddle radius determines the arc formed by all the individual saddle heights, and is similar to the measurement of a fretboard.

Post spacing is the distance between the centers of the mounting posts of a bridge or 'stop' tailpiece.

Good replacement bridge

I purchased this to replace a damaged tone pros bridge on my ESP. Fit perfect, easy install and solid quality.

Big change

Between this and the Gotoh aluminum tailpiece, added at the same time, the tone on an Epiphone Dot Studio gained much in clarity and sustain. The posts screwed right into the existing threads.

nickel gotoh bridge

pros: longer saddle travel for better intonation. nice nickel finish.

cons: sloppy tolerance on studs, makes rattling noise while playing.

it's not bad for 20 bucks, but next time i'll spend more money for a better one.

Money well spent!

BIG improvement for my Chinese Les Paul copy. Very well made, and the extra few mils of adjustment room guarantee good intonation. I will certainly buy this bridge again when I need another.

Fantastic!

Needed to replace a very worn tune- o -matic on my 89 Gibson SG Special
which has unusual large bridge posts and bushings
Worked like magic and the bridge is very high quality - similar to the Gotoh
bridge / tailpiece sets also on Stewmac for a lot more!
Thanks again Stewmac

Unexpectedly Different.

I acquired one of these Gotoh bridges, based on its reputation as a big improvement functionally over the original style.

However in appearance, it is so much larger front-to-back that it makes a client's vintage Les Paul look like an Asian knockoff.

I decided to return it and order an ABR-1 and live with its problems - hopefully the replacement ABR-1's are better-made than the originals, It hasn't arrived in the mail yet.

Geat bridge

I installed this in a 2009 gibson. The stud inserts dont fit gibsons, but the bridge quality is amazing.
