Gotoh 510 Bridge & Tailpiece

It took me a while to figure out which bridge to purchase - I thought all Gibsons / Ephiphones were the same - so be sure to double check the studs are the correct size and spacing. This bridge is very nice. Everything locks up tight (the stud screws lock inside the body bushings, the bridge locks tight against both mounting studs, and each saddle locks down.) Even the intonation assembly is tight but smooth - there are no places to buzz and steal your tone away. This is a very nice bridge design and is well built. The only thing missing were the instructions.

I have not yet installed this on my current build, however on inspection this bridge is clearly very solid. I really like that the overall intonation is adjustable and that nearly everything locks (it would be nice if the tailpiece locked to the studs, but it does clip in quite solidly, and that's the only thing that doesn't lock). The chrome finish is also nearly flawless, and the look of the bridge piece is unique, clean and classic. The only concern I have is explaining to the customer what all the hex keys do! It would be good if the bridge came with instructions to pass on to the not so technically inclined.

I installed this Gotoh510 with the tail-piece in my Qingdao Epiphone Les Paul Custom.I used the original studs (because I suspect they are well glued to the guitar-body),But the the metric stud-screws and the rest of the kit is perfect fit..With the hex-screws on the bridge tightened well to the stud-screws,I could actually hear the improvement on the sustain and the tone as well,Really cool stuff this,I would certaintly recommend this product as an good/useful upgrade to all the Epiphone Les Paul-owners around!

I was previously having issues with stability and noise on my custom made acrylic PRS. Once I put the Goto 510 bridge and tailpiece on they went away. There was also a very noticable improvement in the tone and sustain. I recommend the Goto 510 to anyone looking for a low cost big bang upgrade.

I've used this Gotoh 510 locking bridge on quite a few guitars thus far. Most recently on a '05 Ibanez IC400 Iceman. You simply cannot beat the solid tonal response you get from the strings with one of these. The improvement in sustain is also very dramatic. I've never used the tailpiece though, so I cannot say anything about that.
