Specs
We designed this bridge to work with Bigsby vibratos, in place of the Nashville Tune-o-matic. This is the only roller bridge that matches the 12" radius of the Nashville, so you maintain the string action you're used to. We gave it a low profile to keep the strings clear of the bridge body too, eliminating a frequent source of vibrato problems.

Thumbwheel height-adjustment studs and knurled bushings are included.

About bridge & tailpiece measurements

String spread is the distance between the centers of the outer strings on a bridge or tailpiece.

Saddle radius determines the arc formed by all the individual saddle heights, and is similar to the measurement of a fretboard.

Stud/post spacing is the distance between the centers of the mounting posts of a bridge or 'stop' tailpiece.

It's great - AND I still have some work to do

I made a DIY SG and the bridge position must have been a couple of mm off because I ran out of intonation room on the bridge supplied. Ordered this bridge to give myself more room (hopefully!) to get the intonation right and because I liked the idea of the rollers working when bending strings. The product is nice looking, good quality. The posts are smaller than my standard fitting meaning that I would have to fill and re-drill to use. As it happens, I found that leaving in the 'bushing' from the original bridge in the hole I could simply drop in the bushing post from this new bridge. Result? Quick installation. But...I still ran out of intonation. Leaves me thinking I now need to fill the holes with hardwood, re-drill (in slightly amended position) to fit this bridge properly. 4 stars because it wasn't clear to me that the post size on this was different from mine...the info I'm sure was there, but making this clearer / more explicit would have been helpful for an 'amateur' like me.

Great Bridge, wrong guitar!!

I bought the roller bridge, expecting it to fit onto my epiphone SG.. It didn't. which is my fault for not checking the spec..It is now on my friends epi LP and he says it's a great bridge, no complaints there!!

Perfect for Maestro Trem

Had not seen a review for the Gibson Maestro Vibrola, as on my 2013 SG original. This bridge is a perfect fit and solves 99 percent of tuning problems instantly. The included posts even matched the threads on the Gibson studs, so I didn't have to remove them. An excellent buy.

Does not fit like I thought it would

While I have very little against the bridge itself -- besides being a little bigger than a tune-o-matic and thus causing the break angle to change along with the widness making it fit more snugly into the posts than I would like -- the posts did not fit into the guitar that I changed it out on. Full disclosure, it was not a Gibson, and so maybe they have smaller posts, but the guitar I changed it on had posts that fit another replacement tune-o-matic bridge I had, so I would think the guitar was the standard tune-o-matic and not the other way around. That said, I only managed to get it to work with a hack method of installing the smaller grommets inside of the larger, existing grommets that were already in the guitar. Luckily, they forced in perfectly and it fits now, but I would caution anyone against purchasing this bridge to make sure your posts are the small ones first.

Almost perfect

Another quality piece at a great price. Installed easily onto my Epiphone ES-339 which I also added a Bigsby B7. Works as it should and looks great. The only thing that would make me happier is if it was available in nickel.

Golden Age Roller Bridge

gold plated - I am very pleased - easy to install - I have also noticed easier bending, better sustain, better tone, easier to set low action probably at least partially because radius matches Les Paul, & better looks. I haven't plugged in yet but can't wait. I love upgrading my axes and this appears to be a very cost effective upgrade. got in 2 days Stew Mac Rocks

Close But No Cigar

The Golden Age Roller Bridge is a well made piece but with (in my opinion) one serious design flaw, the rollers sit too low in the bridge assembly. When used on a Les Paul Std. with a Bigsby B7 and set up for a nominal string action, several of the strings touch the bridge. The yokes that hold the rollers need to be a little bit taller (see Schaller Roller Bridge). It is a good looking unit, good price and I like the 12" string radius, but I think that one flaw needs to be corrected.

Beauty and function, best of both worlds

Got it by FedEx the next day, installation was a mere minutes (the time it took to loosen the strings). I installed it on my Gibson Les Paul Traditional, without any modification at all. Was a perfect fit. It looks great (better than the TonePros original), plays beautifully, and as bonus i got rid of the G string slipping while tuning. I am really surprised at the quality of such a low priced item. Time will tell how the brass rollers will fare with the amount of playing I do. Thank-you StewMac for the great service.

AMAZING !!!

I recently got my hands on a Gibson Les Paul 60's tribute and had ridiculous tuning and intonation issues with the existing "tune-o-matic" bridge. I initially hesitated on purchasing the Golden Age Roller Bridge because I really wanted to keep the vintage look of the guitar but tuning issues eventually made the guitar unplayable. Ordered the part from the Stewmac team (excellent transaction like always) and it arrived within two days (WOW!), installed the Golden Age Roller Bridge very easily and - AMAZING - why did I not order it sooner? Tuning and intonation issues gone and looks great on the LP.
