Weissenborn Guitar Plans

I've built one Martin kit acoustic guitar, 10 acoustics from scratch and 10 electric guitars from scratch with the help of Stewmac, other builders and suppliers. With each build I gained more confidence and experience.
I wouldn't tackle the Weissenborn build without that guitar lutherie experience. It can be done but the plans aren't detailed enough for a first time builder with limited wood working and lutherie experince to feel comfortable with the plans as his or her only source of knowledge. If you do attempt the build please have a lot of patience and a lot of extra lumber to allow for mistakes.

As the previous reviewer said, the plans are a little light on bracing details, especially around the bridge plate.

The plans were shipped promptly as always is the case with StewMac. I would like to see more info on the bracing and tone bars. The plans were very lacking in this area.
