Step-by-Step Guitar Making

Very comprehensive instruction manual.
Covers all points, and some repair issues.

Not a good book

Several problems.
-The most obvious being his lack of experience and knowledge in this field.
-None of the topics or "steps" were discussed in enough detail for a beginner to really understand what he was attempting to do or how he planned on doing it.
-Basically just vague descriptions with a few pictures.
-Builds a steel string guitar using classical guitar methods. What the ???
-If you could see the picture of his "shop" before you bought the book you would not buy the book. His "shop" is just a converted garden shed that is about 8'x12' in size. My master bathroom is bigger than that.

Get a good book that will give much greater detail of the entire process, more pictures and a much better idea of what you will need to do to create a guitar that you can be proud to say that you made yourself.

Building good guitars takes a lot of time and effort. If you are new to the craft don't start with this book.

Overly Simplistic

Writer gave ample evidence of amateur status. Weak on details and those included were not particularly accurate.
