Benedetto Archtop Plans

This is a well drawn plan, but the user will have to draw out their own contour maps of the top and bottom plate...a major omission, in my opinion. And when you try to make a contour you will find that the back arch sections do not match up to the back longitudinal seam section. The back seam section in the plan agrees with the template provided in the back of the book. As an instance, section D is more than 1/8 inch deeper than the same spot on the seam section. The same applies to the other back sections. I will have to re-draw these sections in order to make a contour map. The top arch sections match up nicely. This plan is not inexpensive, so this is a disappointment.

These are the best drawings I,ve found. They are suitable for framing. I am a about 3 guitars away from attempting to make an archtop, still the details in the drawings, along with Benedetto's dvd ,and book have made making my two piece body with laminated carved top, electric guitars much better, and the one neck I made using drawings, and Beneddeto's techniques came out very high quality.

I found this drawing set accurate, complete and easy to follow.

But the best your can get. A piece of art.

si vous cherchés un plan: STOP C'EST CELUI-CI!!! j'en ai acheté plusieurs mais je pense que les autres ne font que représenter la guitare avec plus ou moins d'information mais absolument incomplet pour pouvoir s'en servir comme base pour une fabrication ca c'est du BENEDETTO !

These highly detailed plans gave me all the information I needed, along with Bob Benedetto's book, to build this guitar, with great results!

These are so nice, I went and had them professionally backed and mounted at a hobby store. Now using plexiglass to trace and make perfect templates. A-1.

These plans are exactly like described. Very detailed/thorough and they look like a work of art! (Something DaVinci could have drawn :)) I plan on using these plans and the Benedetto book/DVD's to build my first archtop guitar and after I'm done, these plans are going to look great hanging in my office/music room.
