Engelmann spruce (Picea engelmannii) is a slow-growth wood from high altitudes in western North America. A popular alternative to Sitka spruce for steel-string guitars, it's generally lighter in color and weight, and often not as stiff as Sitka.
Our quartersawn wedges have a minimum size of 9" x 22-1/2" x 2-1/4" (229mm x 572mm x 57mm), and are ready for splitting, joining and carving in your shop.
