Australian Blackwood (Acacia melanoxylon) is a close relative of Koa, with a light brown color and excellent grain figure. It produces a warm tone, similar to mahogany. Thickness-sanded to .162" (4.1mm), this bookmatched set is sufficient for bandsawing a 12-1/2" x 9-1/2" (318mm x 241mm) ukulele back with sides. Top wood is not included.
