Australian Blackwood (Acacia melanoxylon) is a close relative of Koa, with a light brown color and excellent grain figure. It produces a warm tone, similar to mahogany. Each set is sufficient for bandsawing a 10" x 7" (254mm x 178mm) ukulele top and back, and each unbent side is at least 14-1/2" x 3" (368mm x 76.2mm). The wood has been thickness-sanded to .150" (3.8mm).
