This handsome solid quartersawn mahogany blank is planed and ready for bandsawing and shaping. It includes sufficient wood for adding "ears" to the headstock.
Available in traditional Honduras mahogany, or Sipo (African) mahogany. Sipo (pronounced "seepo") is a beautiful variety, slightly denser, with slightly bolder grain.
Sized for building a glue-in neck for a solidbody or thin archtop guitar. Quartersawn blank is approximately 3-1/2" thick x 2-1/2" wide x 26" long (88.90mm x 63.5mm x 660.40mm)

While mahogany is becoming more restricted, the search for comparable alternatives has been ongoing. Sipo (pronounced see-po) is the closest we are finding to the traditional mahogany that does not have any restrictions to shipping it world wide.
