Unslotted Fingerboard for Bass

As with the Bass neck blank, I was worried about purchasing this, I need not have worried. The board is dead flat, nice and dark with a small amount of lighter areas that will disappear with a little stain. The dimensions are also spot on. Will happily buy this item again!

Um'd and ah'd about purchasing one of these as I usually use Wenge, however it was easy to cut the fret slots, wide enough for me to make a full width J-bass 5 string type neck too. The blank was well sanded and squared up to line up nicely on my fret saw template. Weight of this blank was quite a bit heavier than I thought it would be.

Coloration wasn't too bad, however I will have to stain it to make the colour even all over, but can't buy the stain from you due to shipping restrictions. I am testing some local products that I believe will work equally well.

Very nice and accurate fingerboard blank. It is really black.

Due to the lack of a grading system, I was worried about ordering this blank.

The blank I received was very black and accurately thickness sanded. I just had to square the ends.
