A back is a set of two bookmatched halves, for joining and profiling. Each back half is approximately 8-1/2" x 21-5/8" (215.90mm x 549.28mm), thickness-sanded to .115" - .120" (2.92mm x 3.05mm).

Sides are a bookmatched set of two, unprofiled (rectangular) and unbent. Each side is approximately 4-3/4" x 32-3/4" (120.65mm x 831.85mm), thickness-sanded to .095" - .100" (2.41mm x 2.54mm).

tonewood

I bought this wood for 3 guitars. And I have to say it is really nice looking. But most of all, I am pleased with the sound of the completed instruments (all OM, with Sitka spuce tops) This combination makes wonderful sounding instruments. In m.o. it must be marked as a VERY good tonewood. It is also easily to work on and it bends good with a bending machine ( I do not have experience with a bending iron).

BEAUTIFUL!!!!!

I am always leery about ordering wood but was surprised at the beauty of what I got. I will use the sides to do the top and back for a neck through bass. I would order more wood from StewMac without hesitation!

Great value!

Although the grain is a little wider than the most desirable Curly Maple, the sets I received are very attractive and will be used for high line instruments
