They're small, but they make a big difference to the player! We offer these time-saving pre-cut side position markers in handsome traditional materials to match our fingerboard inlay dots. The consistent 3/32" (2.38mm) diameter looks right at home on practically any fretboard, and the material adds a nice touch of class. Approximately .050" (1.27mm) thick, sold in packages of 10.

Tip: We recommend epoxy or super glue for installing all our inlays.

Inlay filler colors can be mixed with epoxy for matching ebony and rosewood.

Nice quality

I always use the abalone side dots, and they are great. No complaints.

Pretty, but somewhat difficult to work with

These side dots look great and compliment the stew mac abalone dots perfectly. In general, they look beautiful and there weren't any that were all dark in the two packs I bought. Luckily I bought two packs, as I ended up dropping 3 or 4 of them when test fitting hole sizes. They didn't quite fit a 3/32" hole, so I had to ream it slightly with the drill bit. In testing the fit and depth, I dropped some... lost forever. They were a little thin, making the hole drilling difficult, hence my dropping. However, once finished, they turned out awesome.

Super Dots

Abalone Side Dots

These dots are a great looking alternative to white plastic. They are very uniform in size, and easy to install. The appearance is great. The dots almost seem to glow. I highly recommend them. I wish they came 12 to a package though. Think ahead... Paul
