These rosettes are great value and add a real quality to the job. They are thicker than some and don't fragment. They save hours of frustration trying to make your own, too.
I have used this rosette dozens of times, from several providers. Stew Mac's rosette is always the same; it never varies in dimension, so I can set up a cutter once and just check it at each use. I've never had to re-do one of these. I've also never had to wait for an order.
I'm building a Gibson J-45 and the steel string rosette looks amazing especially when you add colorful veneers.

I put these on a buddy's Ovation. I guess they use rosette "stickers" on their celebrity models (the ones without the leaf motif). A buddy gave me his guitar to replace the broken nut, the missing rosette and giant crack in the finish was bothering me. I sanded down to bare wood and glued the new rosette onto the body. I know, not the "right" way to do it. But I built up new layers of black paint on the finish, sanded the rosette down to meet the paint, and then sealed the whole thing with nitro-cell finish. Looks like a new guitar. I'll use these rosettes again, no doubt.

Rosette has good general detail but poor shaping on ends. Works fine if neck is breaking rosette but becomes a problem if rosette is inlayed in complete circle.
I installed the black/white herringbone and it's quality is really good
