Very precisely made. Work very well and are easy to laminate with black for more elaborate trim.

Excellent qualty. I used binding material to bind a Custom Firebird Body with Strat-type arm rest and Jackson Neck. I found the binding scrapings mixed with acetone worked best as adhesive for binding the body

I ordered the .020" binding to use as frets on a lapsteel build. I inlayed a slotted ebony board into a lapsteel project, and CA glued this binding into the slots to make highly visible frets.

This is an excellent product. In combination with Stewart-MacDonald's binding laminator, you can make some very nice bindings. It cements nicely with acetone and scrapes easily. It's recommended.

I have to be honest and say that I think this "new" (in relative terms to several years ago) binding is really a disappointment. Back when we got the binding "pre-laminated" it was excellent. I believe that I am doing everything as well as I can but my results with this binding is far less appealing than the old stuff.

I am laminating the binding with Acetone. I let it set for a day or so then I soften it in boiling water. When I try to bend it around the scroll of the mandolin it either kinks (not soft enough) or de-laminates when I make it hotter. Previously, I enjoyed binding my mandolins, now I hate doing it. Just because of the material difference.

I had already bought those plastic bindings other times, but had not commented. very good stuff, easy to work and glues well.

The best binding I've found yet. I've used it on Jacksons, Gibsons & archtops. Very smooth & excellent workability.
