Colorful natural shell
Green AbaLam Purfling
Natural abalone shell with deep greens is epoxy-laminated to create Green Abalam. This is how the major builders create beautiful purflings with consistent color on instruments such as Martin's D-45 (also used by Taylor, Larrivee, Paul Reed Smith and most others). Much faster to work with than regular abalone. 3 long strips per package.

An important feature of Abalam is that it breaks cleanly when fitting around tight curves. Can be shaped and sanded like regular abalone shell (sanding reveals new colors in the laminated layers).
Green Abalam's color range emphasizes rich greens, with a minimum of pale areas.
Installation tip: use Abalam with our No-stick Filler Strip.
