Fit bindings on any instrument perfectly
TrueChannel Binding Routing Jig
Cut perfectly squared binding ledges on archtop instruments. Our True Channel jig turns your laminate router into a floating cutter. As you move the body of the instrument into the cutter, your router glides vertically to follow the body's top edge. Bindings fit correctly you won't have to scrape them too thin.
SAVE when you buy the router bit set with your TrueChannel jig!

A standard router base tilts on an archtop instrument; the bindings won't fit right. TrueChannel keeps your router vertical, so bindings always fit correctly.
The TrueChannel jig fits popular laminate trimmers. You can also add holes for brands that don't fit the slots provided in the carriage.
SAVE The TrueChannel jig is also available with our #1298 router bit set. Designed especially for luthiers, the set features a super-sharp carbide-tipped bit with 1/4" arbor, and custom bearings for cutting the most common binding widths.
Save production time: The router carriage is available separately. You can install carriages on separate routers that are setup to cut specific binding channel sizes.
Make additional setups for other body sizes: The plywood form and body support blocks are also available separately.
Our thanks to luthier Tom Ribbecke, who inspired this jig.

 | January 14, 2009 I got a chance today to try out your TrueChannel Binding Routing Jig and I have to say, after struggling with every other tool and method I could ever find, this setup works exactly as advertised. I couldn't be happier with the results. | | | Don Barile San Jose, CA | |
