Planet Waves Chromatic Headstock Tuner

My bass teacher borrowed my F-Zone tuner to try over a year ago. I got this one and it worked good with Bass and seemed easier on the battery. Unfortunately my 3 year old niece became enamoured with it and it disappeared right off my headstock after using it only a couple days. Hopefully i will find out where she put it someday!

These are great - very lean on the battery compared to the old green diamond-shaped one.
The needle swings real smooth, so you can tune to the mark without overshooting - AND it turns to green on the mark.
Guitars with small headstocks like teles and ASATs will have just enough room to keep this on.
Well worth the few extra dollars if you cannot decide between this and the other economy clip on.

I bought this tuner last week, and it works great for the guitar. I haven't tested it on a bass, though, so it might not work well with a bass.

The only issue I have with it is that it doesn't have a pad on the part of the clamp that presses against the front of the headstock, so the plastic will eventually mark the front your headstock up unless you put a little electric tape or something else on the clamp to protect your finish.
