Not what I expected
There was a day when stewmac banjo parts were the standard. Those days are gone. These brackets are the light-duty, undersized versions you would expect to find on a Chinese-made banjo.

Great P90s
Replaced existing pickups on a telecaster type guitar (UK Royal) with the Golden Age P90s. It sounds terrific, full of character with that wonderful growl when you dig in. Very versatile and I love them.

Behlen pigment
This product far exceeded my expectations. I used the burnt umber mixed with Stew-Mac epoxy to fill small voids in a finger board and was amazed when the fill-ins disappeared after sanding with 320 on up to 600 grit paper. I can only wish for more colors, like a neutral or maple.

inlay bits
These small, hard to find, downcut bits work very well. So well a person needs to use care not to cut way more than needed. Guess how I know this... I needed very clean cuts and these bits performed that task nicely. Thanks, Stew-mac.

Just the right touch.
I planned on installing a strap button on the heel of a new tenor guitar, and needed a black felt washer to cushion it. I've used the white ones before, and reasoned that the black ones would work just as well. It fills the edges of the button more fully, and won't harden as leather can. Great products StewMac. Keep up the good work.

Elegant ebony bridge pin
I bought the ebony endpin with abalone dot, to match the bridge pins I had purchased to dress up a new tenor guitar. Looks great and was a snap to install. Thanks again StewMac for great products.

Lovely Bridge Pins
I wanted the ebony pins with an abalone dot, to spruce up a new tenor guitar I had purchased. They work great and really enhance the sound. Just a bit of sanding, and I was in business. Thanks StewMac for great products.

Tremolo Arm for AXL guitars
I needed a tremolo for my AXL guitar and tried several strat types and none of the threads would fit, then I bought this one from Stew-Mac and it was perfect. I highly recommend it.

A great buy!
I bought this vise because I needed an extra pair of hands finishing my latest guitar. Bodging along trying to hold odd-shaped objects is tolerable once, annoying twice, and not worth trying the third time. I'd read the other reviews, some very negative, but my own experience of Stew Mac service made me order it anyway. Ordered Sunday PM arrived in England Wednesday AM. Keeping the negative reviews in mind I checked this vice over thoroughly before fitting it to my main work bench. Everything works smoothly and just as it should. I am more than happy to have an extra strong pair of hands to hold awkward shaped pieces. Now I can put the finishing on my 000 neck without compromising!

000 kit
I'm impressed with the materials and fit. It isn't finished yet but already the quality of materials is apparent. I chose the bolt on neck and I'm glad I did. It's nearly complete but I'm not going to rush. The mahogany is very nice, and the neck fit needs only the most minor of adjustments. The instructions were good, but I'd recommend also reading and printing the instructions for the Dreadnought as well and watching the video that comes with the kit as well and noting any differences in procedure. If in doubt ask Stew Mac for advice! I know that I'm going to make more than one so I ordered a guitar repair vise so I can work on finishing the guitar without compromise. The kit isn't cheap but the customer service is outstanding, factor that in and it is very good value. I have no doubt that when it is finished it will sound superb. Next will be the rosewood version!

Love these things!
Tape, tape and more tape..... Or not? I prefer or not! Always protect surfaces where needed but these are time and finish savers. A pack will last you many jobs and are well worth the money. A must for polishing and will save you a fortune in tape.

Major time saver.... Get one... Now!!!
I taught myself how to do fret jobs. Learned old-school including crowning levelled frets with small files etc.... I thank many of my friends for their guitars BTW:) I always wondered about these files and after many fret jobs and researching so many different options I thought I'd be stupid not to try one. Ordered a 300 grit and will never use a file to shape frets again. Major time saver, no more slips or accidents on the fret board (c'mon, I didn't go to school for this!).... It is just a great tool. Good weight and as accurate as you need it to be. I can't imagine a practicing luthier or a DIY not having one of these on hand. Spend the money!

Good tool
I bought this to enlarge the holes for my Jazzmaster body to fit a Mastery bridge as they were originally too small for the thimbles. While it helped initally, in the end I enlarged the hole by hand with sandpaper and drill bit, as I didn't want the holes tapered the entire way. It's a good tool, just not exactly the right one for what I needed to do.

Jackpot A Winner
I recently had a 4 way selector switch, and then a Jackpot Volume pot on my Telecaster. Wow! I love it. The volume pot bypasses everything and goes straight to the jack and gives the guitar more oomph. Well done Ned Steinberger! Be aware it is a mini pot and very small. With these two mods done, I am completely satisfied with the whole thing now.

Fine piece of Ash
This is my second build and I've had this body since November waiting for better weather and humidity to begin. This time instead of color tinted lacquer I went with a Cherry oil stain and will top that with clear nitrocellulose lacquer. Here is the first coat of back stain and I love the gain on this body. This is going to Big Red.

Time will tell, but it helps.
I have been intensively using ToneRite on my electric guitars although this product in more intended for acoustics and hollowbodies (I am currently testing it on a hollowbody). Sure it makes the guitar woods vibrate and resonate from body to headstock and in the long term it might help natural sustain on an electric guitar. It is quite silent (but that depends on your guitar once mounted) and it comes in a wonderful pack. In over one month of aternate use on electic guitars (one week session each) I haven't yet noticed significat changes in sound, overall tone and "playability" as advertised on the manual so far, but I am confident it will actually achieve some longer-term results. If you are going to use this device on your electric guitar, you will probably need to temporary lower your bridge PU to mount it. The shipping of this product by Stewmac was incredibly fast! Thank you guys! Toto

Never without
I have been using the Lokstraps on a heavy Custom LP model and light Melody Makers ans stat-style guitars. This safety system is inexpensive, reliable and seems to be durable. No drillings or modifications required. I wouldn't use it with a too slim guitar strap on a nitro finished guitar for the plastic dishes are quite wide and they might leave traces of use all around them. Apart from that, I would never again hit the stage without the lokstraps on my guitars! Toto
