DeArmond Starfire Bass Replacements
Perfect drop in replacement on a DeArmond Starfire Bass. I was glad I did not have to do any mods to the headstock - even the screw hole placement matched up.

Flimsy but does the job.
Does a fair job to the fret ends but feels a bit tacky.

optiVISOR
The optiVISOR works great. Next time I wouldn't spend the money on the light. It doesn't add much to an already well lit workplace.

Don't buy these.
Normally I don't mind spending the extra money to buy stuff from Stewmac. It is usually good quality, the right tool our both. But these gloves suck. If they get a whiff of lacquer thinner they melt instantly. They also tear very easily. I am trying to stain a neck with water-biased stain. It's neck I just built so there are still burrs on the fret. I have gone through 3 gloves so far and I am not finished yet. Don't buy these.

You wouldn't use cheap tools...
This is really nice sandpaper. One thing that isn't mentioned in the description is that the paper itself is much higher quality than the typical hardware store variety. It makes a big difference to not have creasing and flaking of the grit. I was very impressed with this product, definitely not a frivolous purchase.

nice bridge!
I put the bridge on an ASAT Classic, it took me 30 minutes to install, with no modifications to the guitar. Other than not having to deal with the "box" edges of a vintage style bridge anymore, a side benefit was a great tonal improvement, I am impressed!

worth every penny
I had been using a Sears router base, but this is so small yet substantial. No way could I do the ledge on my control cavity with the Sears, this was too easy - even for me!

A bit of style..for a inexpensive price
Tailpiece gives my mando kit that look of style for an inexpensive price. People have commented about mando asking where I got bought it from, and are amazed when they discover its kit built. All because tailpiece gives it a professional look. GO FOR IT.

It don't fit.......Tweak it til it does
I thought I was saving money when purchasing economy tuning machines for my kit built Flatiron mandolin. However, when I installed them they were seriously misaligned and wouldn't fit into one set of peg holes. Tweaking the holes until they fit, I found they were still binding a bit, but I figured the bushings would eliminate any binding and left them alone. When I installed the strings, however, the binding got worse with 1st string of A string duo, and it only got worse with tension. My advise is spend the extra money and purchase a quality set of tuning machines, it'll be worth it in the long run.

Great Little Saws
I had a couple of the old style saws. They were OK, but these are very solid built and with 2 sizes. Does not bend like the old ones. Much improved product!

Finally, one that works without wearing out!
I have tried the plastic switch wrench until it wore out and the replacement wore smooth as well. Fortunately Stew-Mac to the rescue with this metal & adjustable wrench that will probably NOT wear out. Thanks for another great tool!

Outstanding Product
I have used this item many, many times. I've only had one problem guitar where I installed it too tight and it split the bridge. It does what it should do, just don't OVER-do it. I will not repair a bridge without it. Easy to setup and install.

3M flexible polishing papers
These papers are absolutely unique and perfect for mending guitars. They are great for treating necks and fretboards -- but be careful with laqueur finishes -- they work best with natural wood.
Absolute must for everyone who wants to keep his instrument in good condition

Sloane classical tuners
I've used these tuners for about 10 years now on my classical guitars. Their short and narrow base plates allow you to make a smaller and lighter head, which according to research, means less energy loss from the strings. They have proved quite robust as well.
