Very nice tuners
The Waverly tuning pegs are very smooth, feel very solid, and have a nice nickel finish. I would definitely use them on another build.

Make job much more easier
i order this item and used it to make other template...my advice to other user is make it a bit smaller than the original tempalates..For les paul you had to make custom templates because les paul body not flat..Its bit tricky but hey that's what customizing job is all about and that's the fun of it..Good job stewmac

Stay away from this one....
Nothing "traditional" about this toggle switch plate. Paper thin with a paper peel off adhesive on the back,no way this is going on my Epi LP!
I'll buy one off of Gibson/Epiphone...

Love it!
This gauge made nut setup incredibly easy. More accurate than a ruler and faster than feeler gauges. My only criticism is that the brass feet will mark up your finished fingerboard a bit. I put little cork feet on it, but you could also use painters tape on each side of the first fret to prevent having to go back and polish the board again.

Black Fingerboard Stain
I used this on a rosewood fretboard, which i removed the dot inlays from and filled with ebony wood filler, sanded the fretboard using 300 grit sandpaper. Applied the stain, wiped off the excess, then used 800 microgrit paper and repeated the process. After drying, I used 1500 microgrit paper to give it that glossy smooth feeling. Came out great, my mates cant believe it's not real ebony.

P90 Heaven
I recently installed two Modern P90s in my Epi 1961 SG Reissue. I was dissapointed with the tone from the Epi pups and electronics, while I love the guitar. This guitar is alive now with tone for days! I am considering a set for my '07 PRS SE Soap Bar II. Its a lot like the SG. A friend told me to order a set of Lollars, but for half the price these are awesome!!!

ColorTone Tinted Aerosol Guitar Lacquer
I love this product. If you prep your guitar correctly, you can get a perfect finish. I've even sprayed beautiful sunbursts in my garage. The spray is nice and even with just the right fan width. Clean up is easy too. Thanks

Plastic binding
I restore old Kay guitars in my down time and StewMac plastic binding is perfect. It's flexible, forms easily. It has good consistent color from 1 batch to the next. The edges are cut nice and clean for a perfect, seamless installation. Thanks

First tele parts build
This is my first parts build and I always wanted a pine tele. Saw the pics on stew mac and decided to give it a try. Worked out perfectly. The pine body was exactly what I wanted, was easy to work with and all parts fits easily. Moderate amount of sanding. 3 coats of ipswich pine stain and then about 10 coats of boiled linseed oil. Hand carved birch bark pickguard to add to the uniqueness of the pine body and hide the routing that I won't need. Will wire it as an esquire. Very happy with the results.

Economy tuners
After 34 years, the tuners on my first guitar, a '79 Alvarez 5914, were getting a tad cantankerous, so I ordered a set of the Economy Covered Guitar Tuners; they looked right, and the price was right (if they last another 34, I'll pop for the Waverley's then). I was thrilled when they arrived; they looked right in the catalogue, but side-by-side I'd be willing to bet $5 Federal that they were made on the same tooling as the OEMs - exact match. At least on the tuners themselves; got the old ones off & discovered that the new bushings had a thicker wall - just to the point of not going in. Lacking jigs, reamers, drill press, or funds to acquire them, I ended up reusing the old bushings. Not ideal, but better than freehanding with a hand drill. Other than that, it went without a hitch, and I love the result; the G once again rolls smoothly to pitch, instead of jumping in fits and starts. I know it's probably psychosomatic, but the tone even seems richer. Are they an engineering marvel? No. Does the quality surpass expectations for the price? Absolutely!

Great guitar nuts!!
I grew up using real ivory nuts and bleached bone. On my newer guitars, I use Tusq XL nuts for my electric guitars with tremolos but also on some of my acoustics with locking tuners. The nuts and locking tuners help to keep the guitars in tune throughout a performance. Tusq was the first company I found which produced, what I think are the best and most consistent sounding synthetic nuts. When they came out with the lubricated nuts, I was overjoyed! Thanks TUSQ!

I chose to try my first neck removal on a 1933 Gibson L-00 (yikes)! This thing worked like a charm. I attached it to a cappuccino machine ... perfect. Worth every penny.

tele style jack cup
It is what it is. If you want a modern jack cup or a les paul style jack plate then this might not be for you. But if you want a more traditional vintage look this could be the ticket.

Great polish cloths...
A great polish cloth but I run them through the washer first. They are cheap so buy a few then you can have a polish cloth, a fretboard cleaner cloth, a whatever cloth, and no worries about contamination.
