Banjo 5th String Capo

i-0041 Updated 08/05

This capo will fit most 5-string banjos.

Note: Do not remove the sliding spring from the capo.

Align the top edge of the capo with the top edge of the banjo’s fingerboard (not the tops of the frets). Mark the position of the mounting hole near the 5th string peg, avoiding the fretwire and the 5th string nut. Using a 1/16" bit, drill a hole 3/16" deep. Mount the end of the capo at this point. Align the top edge of the capo with the top edge of the fingerboard, and mark the other mounting hole location. Drill a hole, and mount the end of the capo.

The sliding spring should be placed behind the fret being capoed, not on top of it. If the sliding spring (item #0041-SP) or its sleeve (item #0041-S) becomes worn with heavy use, replacements are available.
