The following tools and supplies will help you make your guitar/bass building project fun and rewarding. Most are common, but you may have to borrow/buy a few specialized items.

Tools

#4895 Fret Hammer

#3799 Straight edge; 24" long

#0677 Masking/binding tape

#4894 Rule, 6" with 16th, 32nd, and 64th increments

#3316 SAE Hex keys

#3317 Metric Hex keys

#0339 Drill bit set/index (1/16" - 1/2" in 1/32" or 1/64" increments)

Good quality Phillips and blade type screwdrivers. You will need several sizes.

Soldering iron/pencil (25-45 watt)

Drill (3/8" chuck, variable speed/reversible is desirable)

Tape measure

Center-punch or awl

Wire cutters/stripper

Supplies
Sharp pencil

Sharpie or permanent marker

Notepad

Small diameter rosin-core solder

Electrician's tape
