Waverly Dark Tortoise Bridge Pins

About This Item

A remarkable simulation of natural tortoiseshell
Our specially blended dark tortoise material makes a beautiful addition to a fine guitar. Light passes through, and it looks amazingly like protected hawksbill turtle shell.

Better bridge pins: machined, never molded
Our bridge pins, end pins and strap buttons are precision-machined from Galalith, a dense and durable material used in vintage jewelry. There are none of the mold lines or distortion common to plastic parts. These pins work perfectly. They're the nicest gift you can buy your favorite guitar!

All pins have a 5-degree taper.
Slotted pins have a 0.070" (1.78mm) string slot.
Sold in packages of 6.

Chopping the ends off bridge pins

If you're not careful, installing new strings can create a problem that throws you out of tune or damages your bridge pin holes. Elliot John-Conry of EJC Guitars shows us an easy fix.

Good replacement pin

Great looking and a perfect drop-in for my Martin bridges. Have to admit I 'm a tortoise fan. The pins add a distinctive look and are hard enough to transmit vibrations well.

Would be nice if they came with a beveled tip, but that's easily fixed with a small file.
Couldn't be happier.

Nice pins.

Pity they are 5 degrees. My error. I bought a number of these but failed to notice the taper.
Do not have a reamer to suit so will need to acquire one. Really nicely made and very hard. I had already 90% reamed the holes with my 3 degree reamer before I realised my mistake. I made my bridge from lace She-Oak and they would have been perfect had I not missed the taper. Others Beware!

Hate writing reviews but these pins fit the bill.

Not for me

Love the look of these, but they sit too high. The heal of my hand rests on the bridge pins when I fingerpick, and because of the height of these, they dig into my hand.

Awesome! I find them beautiful to combine with my Brasilian Rosewood pyramid bridges.

These pins are REALLY nice!

Stewmac delivered thse quickly and their service is great! The color of these pins are great, the quality is excellent...there are NO VISUAL MOLD LINES, they are smoothly lathed to perfection. The white version of these look just like bone pins. These pins are much harder than the cheap plastic ones. And they will last a lifetime without deforming. They look like tortoise...and if they are too big for your guitar, the shafts can be shaved or carved down with a sharp strong knife to fit the bridge holes. These are FAR BETTER than the cheap plastic garbage pins Gibson and Martin put on their guitars. Your gonna love these. They are strong, and beautiful, and a great price too. Get them!

I have used these bridge pins before on my high end Gibson acoustic guitars. I love the rich look they give your guitar.

Nice looking

For $10 these are very nice looking. Be aware that they will become very dark and pretty much disappear visually if you have a dark bridge. So absolutely nothing wrong with them but they are not going to particularly stand out.
