A drawer full of tools in the palm of your hand!

  • 36-bit set specifically for guitar hardware
  • Compact no-spill case, only 5" long
  • Only at StewMac!

If there's a set of tools every guitar tinkerer will love and use every day in the shop and on tour, this one has gotta be it! A great gift for shopmates, bandmates and guitar collectors.

This set is a must-have! Be ready for practically any hardware on any guitar, from tuners to bridges, tremolos to pickguards, pickups to tailpieces, and more.

The Guitar Tech Screwdriver Set replaces a whole drawer full of tools. We've included 36 essential bits for fretted instrument hardware, plus an easy-grip handle with extender. The entire set comes in a durable compact spill-proof latching hard case that fits nicely into your toolbox or guitar case (take it along to your next playing gig).

You won't find it at the hardware megamart, or anywhere else but here at StewMac.

Contents:
6 Phillips bits: 000 • 00 • 0 • 1 • 2 • extra 1
11 Allen bits: .050" • 1/16" • 5/64" • 1/8" • 5/32" • 1.5mm • 2.0mm • 2.5mm • 3.0mm • 3.5mm • 4.0mm
11 flat-blade bits: 0.8mm • 1.2mm • 1.5mm • 1.8mm • 2.0mm • 2.5mm • 3.0mm • 3.5mm • 4.0mm • 5.0mm • extra 3.0mm
Non-slip flat blade bit: 5.0mm flat-blade "capture" bit helps protect small screws and finished surfaces. A StewMac exclusive!

"The capture bit in this set is freakin' awesome! How many times have I had to fix a ding because my old driver slipped."
—Mark Dalton, Huss & Dalton Guitar Co
Adapter for 1/4" sockets: use with your socket set to install tuners and jacks
Mini wire brush: remove corrosion from bridge saddles and more
Awl point: mark starter holes for drill bits
Hardened screw starters: #2 • #3 • #4 • #5; pre-thread screw holes in wood

Handle:
The 4-1/2" easy-grip handle has a rotating cap for fingertip control. It's red, so it won't get lost on a crowded benchtop. The interchangeable steel bits snap easily into the magnetic shaft, and a handy 1-3/8" extender gives extra reach when you need it.

Case:
The latching custom hard case is a mere 5" long, and fits conveniently into a guitar case or gig bag pocket—great for backstage setups and emergency repairs on the road. The case holds the bits snug so they won't spill out. Sizes are marked on the bits, and a handy chart in the case lid helps keep everything organized and easy to identify at a glance.

It looked a lot bigger in the picture!

Man, I wish I had this 35 years ago when you had to search through a number of boxes of tools collected over the years from working on early eastern Asian manufacturers products. Trying the find just the right tool do repair quickly, thoroughly and professionally was as much luck as skill. I can't even imagine how much time would have been saved with a 'collection' of not only the tool you need, but plenty of other stuff you didn't even know you needed until you use it for the first time. You wonder how you stayed in business so long. It's a great set for all the detail work on a guitar luthier's palette.

Making it simple

The fact that it comes in a case makes things much easier for me to switch between bits while working on a guitar. I have an extensive tool set but I'm not that organized, this has made my work a lot easier.

Only one bit absent

I love this kit and gave it 5 stars, however, when attempting to set the neck relief on a Tele, there was no hex (allen) bit to fit it. I had to go digging through all my old allen keys to find a fit. I don't know for the life of me why Fender felt the necessity to use such a wide variety of truss rod nut, allen, and screw heads.

Apart from that one incident, this little kit has fitted every flat, phillips, and hex head I have come across since buying it almost a year ago, not to mention how very handy the screw starters are, the awl bit, the brush, the capture bit, the extension, and the 3/8" driver bit.

Absolute necessity!

I've been a certified tech for over 30 yrs....and I bought this last yr. and find myself going to it more and more because so much right in one place-the only thing I take with it is a miniature el. screwdriver cuz sometimes a PG needs to come off quickly and of course go back on just as fast. SO-all in all a great portable for emergencies when I'm not in the shop. Highly recommend it!

Why did I wait so long to buy this?

At this point, writing a review for this wonderful Screwdriver Set almost seems pointless. Just look at the other reviews before mine and you will get an idea of the question I ask myself every time I use this, "Why did I wait so long to buy this?"

What makes this set so perfect is during those moments when you need a particular bit that you never thought you would need. That is when this set truly shines; giving you access to all those essential "Guitar" bits that are so important us all. The fact that it is compact and fits perfectly in any guitar case is just the icing on the cake.

10/10 Would buy again... and again... and again... One for each guitar case is a must.

A must have for any gigging musician. It is a bit pricy, but worth the money. Fits easily in my cases or in my pocket.
