premium P-Bass wiring kit

By Michael Hough from Grass Lake, Michigan

I was given a 'Down the Basement Special" old 1997 Squier P-Bass which had been abandoned, forgotten and then found under a pile of debris and old boxes. It was a mess. I took it on as a project, and began with Stew Mac's Golden Age P-Bass Pickup and the premium wiring kit. The parts fit perfectly, the high quality of the CTS pots and the cloth push back wiring have been a delight to use. I had a lot to do to bring this bass back from the junk pile, but it's now a totally cool custom Bass that can hold its own onstage with the best of them. The combination of the Golden Age Pickup and this wiring kit gives a great sound through my Roland Cube 60 Bass Amp. Thanks StewMac...

I have been replacing every part of my Squier Precision Bass, and this was very needed. If you want a solid wiring kit and upgraded pots. buy this.

I bought an old Squier p bass to use as a backup which required a new jack and a new tone pot. I decided to buy this kit and connect it up to the existing pickup. I was concerned I might lose that p bass sound but I reckon the kit actually improved the sound even more. I had to drill the existing pot holes in the pick guard out a little more but that was easy. Good quality components. There's too much cheap and nasty trash out there for sale. Better to buy once.

EXCELLENT!

BIG improvement over the Chinese pots. If your bass doesn't sound right to you, consider a rewire before changing pickups. Very fast delivery to Australia I was shocked when the courier knocked on the door. Thanks StewMac!

Completely changed the character of my inexpensive bass. If your instrument does not have quality pots, this simple install will open up the sound of your bass.

Good quality of the components, and the length of the wire is enough to make a very good job! I have use the rest of the wire to restore the pickup. Now I have the same wire for everything! And I follow the recommendation of STEWMAC and I use the shielded wire for the output

The kit arrived a week earlier than anticipated, and was a breeze to install and vastly superior to the pots in the original kit bass! I am thrilled with my first StewMac purchase, and it won't be the last.
