Conductive Copper Tape

About This Item

Get rid of buzz and interference in your guitar.
Shield pickups and control cavities with this self-adhesive copper tape.

180" rolls for shielding pickups and control cavities to reduce hum, noise and radio interference. The self-adhesive backing is also conductive, so overlapped seams are electrically continuous. Wrap this tape around pickup coils for additional shielding.

Sold individually or SAVE when you buy the set of all three widths.

Conductive Copper Tape surface accepts solder.

get under the pickup and copper it up!

By

when i saw how crummy a ground was under my new jag. bass, it was unbelievable. i had Stewart-Macdonald send me grounding paint and copper tape and went to work. man that stuff worked great. it took the hum right out of that jazz pickup in the back. next time you change strings ,look up under the pick guard and see what you are dealing with. you also get self satisfaction fixing it yourself. A must have

The adhesive on the back of tape is conductive. The cheap stuff at the hardware store is not. Awesome product.

Works like a charm. I lined my Strat wth it and now the only noise I hear are the notes I play.

Extremely handy

I am putting together my first guitar and wanted to take special efforts to shield the internals. This tape worked perfectly, especially with the conductive adhesive.

Conductive both sides!

By

Yes, it's conductive both sides (I used my digital multimeter). and taping the sticky side of one piece to the non-sticky side of another piece shows perfect conductivity throughout, too! Excellent stuff!

I used the 2 inch for a DIY Les Paul guitar kit and there is no buzzing from my guitar! the adhesive is very sticky and worked perfectly! Thanks Stewart MacDonald!

The edges of the tape are extremely sharp and will slice your hands. Use with care.

1st time use

Just got this tape today. I'm not a guitar tech or a luthier and have NEVER attempted this before! I bought the 2" roll. Very easy to use. The key, as with most things, is to go slow and be meticulous. If you don't you'll end up wasting a lot of tape. I shielded my strat and my LP with plenty left over for at least 2 more guitars!! Cheers and good luck

Keep on Rolling

By
(Customer's Reviews)

I don't get as much time to work on guitars as I'd like to. The last roll of 2" copper tape I got from StewMac was 25 years ago. Hopefully I'll use this new roll up faster! :)
