Nice for the price

Put these in a parts caster and they sound great.I really like the neck more than bridge .I put in a Golden Age wiring harness ,it would have been nice to have enough wire to flip the control plate around.pleased over all.

Brash and Loud!

Bypassing the tone circuit, the Tele bridge pickup is brash and loud (think Gene Vincent). Through a fixed.1 tone cap, the sound is a soft, deep bass without being muddy. Through a .5 cap and potentiometer tone circuit, you get the early 60's Buck Owens-Don Rich Tele bridge pickup sound I was after. The workmanship is great, and the wiring is easy to solder. You can't buy a better pickup for the money.

Great price to tone ratio!

I'll be honest: these are NOT the best pickups for a Tele, but they are great for the price. I will be upgrading them down the road, but these are excellent 'gateway' pickups for any Tele that comes out of the factory with sub-par pickups.

Tight and focused tone.Quiet too.I installed this NECK PUP into my TELE copy. At the bridge I put in the GOlden age OVERWOUND..and wired it for coil split.

They work well together.NO regrets.

Good value

Used this to mod a TELE copy. The tone it gave is a tight, round and focused. Very sweet tone too! Quieter than the stock PUP.

I have installed many Stew Mac PUP's in my other guitars and they all rock!

Good stuff I say.

Both the neck and bridge pickups are well worth the moderate price. Bridge is snappy and tight and the neck is smooth leaning towards the darker side of things but I have no plans to change. The two combined sound great and the output is well matched. Classic tones as advertised.

Great sound

I put these in my Tele re-build project along with the "Premium Wiring Kit for Telecaster". The sound is strong, very clean (minimal hum for a set of single coils) and close enough to original to please any Tele enthusiast. I rate these pickups very highly, especially considering the price!

affinity tele upgrade

i put both pickups in my squire affinity, the sound is the best Tele I've ever played. I put them in with the 4 way oak grigsby mod. also awesome.

Pretty Darn good!

Got one of these to throw into bridge position and replace the MIM pickup that was in there. it sparkles nice and looks cool with the string wrapped around the coil. i've never used any vintage tele pickups so i wont make the comparison. but i dont imagine these are that much worse. pickups are not synthesizers and are only made up of a few components. it isnÆt super hard to make a good one if solid construction and good components are implemented. and Golden Age seems to be well versed in both. i donÆt think anyone outside of serious cork sniffers and vintage nuts would be in any way disappointed with these in any way.
