Acoustic sound for solidbody guitars! Ghost pickups are implanted inside Graph Tech String Saver™ saddles — there's no need to replace your entire bridge!

These polymer saddles are calibrated to deliver output that balances with your magnetic pickups, and their sound compression matches an acoustic guitar's dynamic range. Screws and springs are included.

The Ghost Prewired Saddle Set and Acousti-Phonic preamp deliver rich acoustic tone, or a blend of acoustic and electric sounds.

Your guitar can produce a blended signal mixing your acoustic tone with your standard magnetic pickups, or by adding a Stereo Y-cable you can send the signal from the Graph Tech Ghost Pickup System to a separate amp or a PA.

The saddles are designed to fit Strat® style bridges with the intonation screw in the center of the saddle. They have micro-lube action to help stop premature string breakage.

2-1/16" (52.39mm) minimum string spread.

GraphTech material is Boron PolyTrinate.

I've used the Ghost saddle/pickups in about half a dozen guitars now, and love 'em. Be aware, however, that if you purchase the saddles only, you'll need additional parts in order to tie them into "the grid" (hence the 4 stars - the pickups themselves get 5 stars). If you don't use the preamp, and decide to wire directly to the controls (which I've done with 3 guitars so far), you'll need a summing board and a dual connector cord in order to wire the saddles directly to a volume pot. Previously, I had purchased the saddles direct from Ghost ... this last time I decided to get the set from StewMac, and there was no summing board or connector cable included. The folks at StewMac may want to consider including mention of this in the product description/details.

Installed the ghost saddles on a Frankenstein stratocaster I have built entirely from spare parts, I had lying around my repair workshop. The acoustic sound is fantastic! Using the combination of ghost saddles and magnetic pickup with a little overdrive gives a fat sound with plenty of scope! I used 500k pots to experiment with the sound of this strat, seems to be alot warmer but can still get that country twang! Remember to earth the saddles to a pot to eliminate unwanted hum! The acoustic sound is as close as I can get to my Maton EBG808 . Great for live performances, save guitar changes.

Great for first-gen Variaxes

After seeing positive reviews on the internet, I took the plunge. Variax 300s are selling for peanuts now on the internet, and my ONLY gripe was the metallic plinky pick sounds messing up the otherwise very good modeling on the Variax. Anyway, I installed the pickups and WOW... the plink is gone. My clean Strat and Tele models sound almost dead-on, and the acoustic guitar is a little more mellow and NO PLINK. I had to roll the volume control back from 6.5 to 4. Muted playing is MUCH improved, and you can just about go back to muting anywhere on the strings rather than just over the pickups like with the originals. The rest of my guitar collection is now going up for sale. Reminder on the wires: clear is signal, blue is ground. Be aware that you will have to re-EQ your effects chain because of how different the pickups are. I will be buying another set of these in the future.

Fine, fine pickups

The whole experience was new to me. Buying from Stew-Mac, buying piezos, installing piezos. On all these accounts, this was an enjoyable experience that was far better than any of my expectations. Purchasing at Stew-Mac and the prompt delivery to Japan was flawless! The pickups are now in my Variax and they sound excellent! I was able to install them despite my complete lack of experience.

Love em!

At last, No more dropped volumes on my Variax. These arenÆt my first set of Graphtech products. I have already upgraded (canÆt stress that word enough) two guitars with string savers, but this is the my first Ghost set and I think it may not be my last.

I got these to replace the original LR Baggs Variax saddles, those were very bad. ôClunky/metalyö sound quality to the Baggs were surly not missed, even worst I had dropped volume on one saddle and varied with the trem arm movement.

The volume jumped, L6 Workbench is a must to lower the overall volume of the Ghost system to avoid muddy distorted sounds. The Variax modeling quality did not get affected, sound is particularly smother on some modes of the Variax. Nice wide response on the acoustic modes, love the mids.

Would definitely recommend. Installation was a @#$@# though, but canÆt complain, if they were installed on their own Ghraphtech system it would have been hassle free.

And as always, StewMac service and shipping speed is AMAZING
