Received the wire very quickly, high quality, no complaints.
They only ship this in 16in lengths and bulk. Little bit of a nuisance but it is what it is.

Will shop Stewmac.com more often. Thank you for the videos

Great for SOME* wiring needs

By

I bought this wire to completely wire a guitar with no wire in it. I used this along with new cts pots and switchcraft 5 way switch and input jack. Everything was great except for the input jack. Some guitars have a relatively small cavity for the input jack and this wire is entirely too bulky for the input jack. Out of luck, I had some old thin red coated wire that worked great for the input jack. So, I do not recommend this wire for the input jack but for the main wires from between the pots and switch, it works excellent!

Love this stuff

I love this style of wire for my guitar cavity. My only complaint is that the wire is 16in and it's a tad too short for the connection between the toggle and the input. Also when you order six, they shouldn't cut six strands of 16 in wire. I would have preferred one cut and I could to desired length.

I am an amateur guitar tech, but a professional guitarist, I wanted a complete overhaul of the wiring. My 1985 Tele had copper shielding installed by yours truly, In 2011 I replace, but kept, the original pickups with Seymour Duncan's Little 59 for Tele and Vintage Stack for Tele. They sell them in a set.

In 2013 I replaced (and kept) the original 3-way switch. At this point, living in San Francisco, CA I wire it horrendously.

The overhaul would keep the Seymour Duncan Pickups, replace the Pots (I was told by Guitar center that humbuckers require 500kOhm potentiometers however he wasn't aware the humbuckers had an electric field the size of traditional single coils as they were the size of a single coil Tele Bridge and Neck Pickups; the Little 59 and Vintage Stack take the amount of wire run around a regular single coil (.5 miles) and wind it directly out of phase with the other single coil in the pickup (using half the length to keep voltage the same and therefore not requiring kOhm Pots; .25 miles wound negative and .25 miles wound positive)), Wiring, Capacitors, Control Plate, Strings, Machine Head (Tuners), 1/4" input jack, treble bleed circuit, knobs, Humbucker Wire, Output Jack, and replaced the previous GC PVC nut with cow bone.

The shielding on the pushback wire made a connection with the ground to the base plate (versus the on going to the output jack). This wasted an hour of my time but is a novice mistake. I was hoping that by using shielded wire I would reduce electrical interference this is my best sounding guitar but I couldn't perform due to it squealing.

I took my time and it turned out great.

The Best wire .......and the easiest.

There is a reason that almost all the vintage guitar makers used this in wiring their Guitars....It's the best and 60 Years later, it's still the Best. I know, I still own these guitars and they have Never Failed to produce Exquisite Sound and Tone.

Bought quantity of 3. I thought that it would all come in one length, but no; came in three separate pieces. Luckily all components in my guitar were close together.
