I am an amateur guitar tech, but a professional guitarist, I wanted a complete overhaul of the wiring. My 1985 Tele had copper shielding installed by yours truly, In 2011 I replace, but kept, the original pickups with Seymour Duncan's Little 59 for Tele and Vintage Stack for Tele. They sell them in a set.

In 2013 I replaced (and kept) the original 3-way switch. At this point, living in San Francisco, CA I wire it horrendously.

The overhaul would keep the Seymour Duncan Pickups, replace the Pots (I was told by Guitar center that humbuckers require 500kOhm potentiometers however he wasn't aware the humbuckers had an electric field the size of traditional single coils as they were the size of a single coil Tele Bridge and Neck Pickups; the Little 59 and Vintage Stack take the amount of wire run around a regular single coil (.5 miles) and wind it directly out of phase with the other single coil in the pickup (using half the length to keep voltage the same and therefore not requiring kOhm Pots; .25 miles wound negative and .25 miles wound positive)), Wiring, Capacitors, Control Plate, Strings, Machine Head (Tuners), 1/4" input jack, treble bleed circuit, knobs, Humbucker Wire, Output Jack, and replaced the previous GC PVC nut with cow bone.

The shielding on the pushback wire made a connection with the ground to the base plate (versus the on going to the output jack). This wasted an hour of my time but is a novice mistake. I was hoping that by using shielded wire I would reduce electrical interference this is my best sounding guitar but I couldn't perform due to it squealing.

I took my time and it turned out great.

There is a reason that almost all the vintage guitar makers used this in wiring their Guitars....It's the best and 60 Years later, it's still the Best. I know, I still own these guitars and they have Never Failed to produce Exquisite Sound and Tone.

Bought quantity of 3. I thought that it would all come in one length, but no; came in three separate pieces. Luckily all components in my guitar were close together.

Used to rewire an Epiphone EB0 bass. As this was my first time using this product, I probably could have used about 2 inches longer... will be buying for future projects.

It's been the right stuff for years

I'll probably have to break down and just buy a spool of this wire......this month a 2014 120th Anniversary SG, a 1965 ES 345, a 1994 Les Paul Standard and a 1963 Guild S50 Jet Star. This wire is the major reason Gibson and Guild guitars from the 60s were so quiet, even with P90 type pickups. Plus you have the advantage of having the hot wire and the ground on one lead, making for a much neater looking job.

I bought this wire for use in re-wiring a 1960's 335. Easy to work with. Takes solder well and I think the guitar sounds better. I should have bought a entire roll.
