This eBay pickup's a bargain, if you do a bobbin transplant

Erick Coleman's used pickup sounds great, but a broken baseplate makes it useless unless this bobbin transplant works.

I¦m using them since many years. Never failed. Goes wonderful with every part of the HB parts. Thanks!

No Threaded Screw Holes, just like they should be

(Customer's Reviews)

So far, on all of the pickups I have worked on and built the "threaded part" is the "Metal Bar" that sits "next to" the bar magnet's thin edge. This metal bar "sits on" the baseplate, and the screws go through the holes in the baseplate. I do not doubt that there are threaded baseplates, I just have not seen one as of yet. I have been at this for close to 20 years. I have used these baseplates with no problems. Me personally, I prefer the really long legs of this baseplate. I do not wind up Crushing the heck out of the springs. GW - Thanks

So close. Just fix the little details, please.

This is obviously supposed to be a vintage style baseplate so why are the poll piece screw holes not threaded?! I sincerely hope you address this issue as it's a deal-breaker and I'll be sourcing custom stamped plates in the future.
