Self-lubricating nuts from Graph Tech are ideal for string bending and tremolo work. Now in more sizes!

Extra slippery: TUSQ XL® is impregnated with Teflon® (500% more slippery than graphite). During tremolo bends, the strings slide in the slots, returning to accurate pitch.

Dense and resonant: Pressure-formed TUSQ transfers string energy more efficiently, without dead spots found in natural materials. Guitars come alive with enhanced harmonics, volume and sustain.

Pre-shaped: Slotted or unslotted, they require only minor trimming.

Ivory color now available
Customers have asked for a white version of their favorite Black TUSQ XL. That turned out to be easier said than done, and took years to perfect, but now it's here! It looks like ivory, but won't chip or flake.

TUSK XL - My Choice For Electric Guitar

By

This material is pricey but, in my opinion worth it. A bit difficult to work with-cuts slightly "gummy" & files tend to stick. But performance is outstanding. A TUSK XL nut & string guide really improved the tuning stability of a stubborn Strat. I like the open-string tone, too. Highly recommended!

Tuning stability is unmatched. IMO it does darken the tone ever so slightly but thats what u tone controls r for, right?

Improved tuning stability tremendously!

I bought this to replace the stock nut that came in my Squier because I felt the stock nut was snagging onto the strings during bends, etc. Now, string bends are pretty smooth and returns to pitch much, much better.

I also installed the TUSQ XL myself. I found that removing the stock nut was harder than the install. It would help if you lightly use a heat gun to loosen the adhesive of your stock nut.

Highly recommended.

Perfect nut replacement for Squier Classic Vibe

By

I was having tuning issues with my Squier 60s Classic Vibe and bought the TUSQ XL in an effort to solve it. The hardest part of the installation was to remove the old nut cleanly. On the Squier 60s CV, use a heat gun on the nut tu soften the glue before pulling out the nut with a plier of sorts. A bit of sanding was required to get the TUSQ XL a perfect fit. Tuning stability issues solved upon installation.

Can't really review other than...

I have a Epiphone Les Paul Standard Pro and bought this for it, but when I met with the tech, he noted how this isn't wide enough... I would have a gap. He could fix it, but I decided to go with a hand-made bone nut.

Gave this to my guitar tech who has plenty of customers that love it. I have no negatives to say other than its not a best fit for my guitar. Can't review otherwise.

What usually takes several hours now takes about 1/2 hour. Great upgrade for many models.
