StewMac Bind-ALL Guitar Binding Glue

About This Item

Fast-setting glue for instrument bindings
For gluing plastic bindings to any tonewood. Bind-ALL is the first choice of major guitar manufacturers. Now available in a convenient tube for small shops.

Holds bindings in place while you work
Bind-ALL's high tackiness helps you position long strips of plastic binding. Bindings stay in place instead of slipping, giving you time to apply clamping bands or tape.

Use Bind-ALL for gluing all these bindings and trims:
  • ABS plastic
  • Celluloid nitrate
  • Butyrate
  • Vinyl

Permanent bond to all tonewoods
Creates a high-strength bond to all tonewoods, even oily hardwoods like rosewood and cocobolo. Sets in just two minutes; fully cures in 12 hours.

Good for binding repairs, too: keep a tube on hand to fix loose or missing bindings.

Bind-ALL is the same glue used by major manufacturers. StewMac is the only place you can get it in a handy dandy squeezable tube (it’s usually sold in glass jars or cans to be brushed on, which gets messy real fast).

WARNING! Contains solvents that will damage nitrocellulose lacquer and other finishes. Use with care around finished instruments.

Store at room temperature.

2.4 fl. oz. (71ml) tube.

Seems to work quite well, bonds are solid, but does set up a bit fast, but not much different than the old DUCO. Much better than super glue.

I like the way it sets up quickly with just enough time to align material.

This glue has adequate open-time and adheres very well. It dries clear and scrapes or sands well too.

This seems to be a different formula than I have gotten from SM in the past. Greatly improved!!! I'm working on a Martin kit and it is turning out beautifully so far.

best glue for binding plastic to wood... by far

By
(Customer's Reviews)

I'm not a fan of the cost, but this glue is the best I've used (and in 30 years I've used them all) to glue plastic binding to wood. Even when gluing plastic binding and wooden purflings, it worked great and stood up to aggressive scraping and sanding! I got three guitars out of a tube, when carefully applied.

Bind -All Glue

I bind a lot of vintage guitars using celluloid. I tried this glue and don't care for it at all. It doesn't melt the celluloid and requires a lot more work to get a good bond. I prefer water clear glues for binding work.

Thanks!

great wood/plastic binding glue

By

I am very delighted with this product. it' has great holding properties with the binding . AND I've used it to bond the plastic vol controls to the inner sound hole with great success. Stew mac went the extra mile for me when the original tube they sent was punctured in shipping and they went out of their way to ship a replacement immediately. thank you stewmac.. I'm a customer for life..

Bonds well but messy.

This is good to work with, binds a plastic binding very well but if you are going to dye or stain wood after binding, make sure you get ALL this WHITE glue off of the wood or you'll have a big problem with the wood not taking stain where ever you have even the smallest amount of glue left.

Love this glue

I installed my bindings with this glue. It provided some working time, but I did have to work fast. Once taped up and cured, it held tight all around and held up through scraping and sandings, and the excess was removable with no stains or damage to the wood.
