StewMac Bind-ALL Guitar Binding Glue

About This Item

Fast-setting glue for instrument bindings
For gluing plastic bindings to any tonewood. Bind-ALL is the first choice of major guitar manufacturers. Now available in a convenient tube for small shops.

Holds bindings in place while you work
Bind-ALL's high tackiness helps you position long strips of plastic binding. Bindings stay in place instead of slipping, giving you time to apply clamping bands or tape.

Use Bind-ALL for gluing all these bindings and trims:
  • ABS plastic
  • Celluloid nitrate
  • Butyrate
  • Vinyl

Permanent bond to all tonewoods
Creates a high-strength bond to all tonewoods, even oily hardwoods like rosewood and cocobolo. Sets in just two minutes; fully cures in 12 hours.

Good for binding repairs, too: keep a tube on hand to fix loose or missing bindings.

Bind-ALL is the same glue used by major manufacturers. StewMac is the only place you can get it in a handy dandy squeezable tube (it’s usually sold in glass jars or cans to be brushed on, which gets messy real fast).

WARNING! Contains solvents that will damage nitrocellulose lacquer and other finishes. Use with care around finished instruments.

Store at room temperature.

2.4 fl. oz. (71ml) tube.

Great stuff!

I was attempting to install some binding using super glue. About all I was able to glue together was my fingers! I couldn’t believe how easy it was using this Bindall. The right product for the right purpose really made a HUGE difference!

I like this glue. It has a generous work time and bonds tight and strong. I won't use anything else one the binding.

binding glue-all

Bind all was used for replacing binding on a D35. It works pretty well. I'm glad I read other peoples' reviews of this product, as it is real runny and eats finish off of stuff. Since I was prepared, that didn't happen to the D35. Binding glue takes overnight to cure good, as I found out while trimming it down level with the fretboard and doing the scraping. I dyed it to match with gold oak stain. Make glue thicker and dry faster, and it'll be a 6-star product!

Really!?

I do not understand the love afair with this glue. It's runny, messy, and it does not match the color of the binding. The metal tube/container continues to to squirt the goop out long after you stop squeezing on the tube. It might be good for something and grow on me after a while but I'm going back to using acetone and binding scraps.

Solid hold, sticks fast and minimum clean up. Less fret slot cleanup..

Unbelievably messy.

The glue itself seems to do what they say it's supposed to, but the tube....there is no control since the glue is so runny. I tried my damndest to be gentle but you even think about touching the tube and it squirts out a bunch of glue- all over hands, all down the side of the guitar, the workbench... sell this glue with an applicator or change the tube or SOMETHING. It's in the same tube like the #16 solvent cement used to come in, which worked well for that glue.

StewMac Bind -ALL - Buyer Beware

By

The directions printed on the tube provide no warning to the user about this product being not being suitable for nitrocellulose finishes. Any overflow will actually remove this finish. If you clicked on the full description of this product on the website and happened to read all the way to the bottom of the page, then and only then, will you find such a warning. Clearly this issue should be included on the tube itself and/or the title of the product should read, "StewMac Bind-ALL Guitar Binding Glue - not for use with nitrocellulose finishes without protection."

used this glue on the binding of a parlor guitar. Allows plenty time to work binding in play before it sets up.
