ColorTone® Waterbase Sanding Sealer is a clear, hard, shrink-resistant polyester/urethane lacquer sealer. Successive sealer coats will bond best when applied within 48 hours of each other. When this time is exceeded, sanding with 320-grit paper is required to roughen the surface for good adhesion of coats.

One can goes a long way!
1 quart will seal 1 acoustic body and neck.
1 quart will seal 3 entire mandolins.
1 quart will seal 2 to 3 solid guitar or bass bodies.
1 quart will seal 3 to 5 electric guitar or bass necks.
1 quart will seal 5 to 6 ukuleles.
1 quart will seal 3 to 4 dulcimers.
1 quart will seal 4 to 5 banjo rims and necks.
These are averages.
Your results may vary according to your spray gun adjustments and spraying pressure, and the number and thickness of your finish coats.

ColorTone Waterbase Guitar Lacquers have been formulated to give a clear, hard, easy to apply, easy to repair alternative to current solvent finish choices. The ColorTone waterbase product line includes stains, pigments, grain filler, sanding sealer, clear gloss topcoat and retarder. These materials can be used together exclusively, or used under and on top of many other products, such as shellac or lacquer.

Durable and works great.

Great stuff for the limited experience I've had with it. It dries very quickly, allowing for multiple coats to be put on a item in a day. It dries quite hard, and takes a little bit of effort to sand, but I like this.(I'd rather that than taking too much of the dried sealer when leveling)
BUT: make sure you put the lid back on this product securely when you're done, or (like poor ol' me) you'll get a can of milky yuck that is good for nothing.
