Mighty Mite Vintage Amber Neck for Strat

About This Item

Hard rock maple with a thin, vintage tint finish. These necks look and play great!

Choose solid maple or a rosewood fingerboard. All have a single-action truss rod and the traditional walnut "skunk stripe" down the back.

  • Thin polyurethane finish
  • 22 frets
  • Maple or rosewood fingerboard
  • Peghead-adjustable truss rod (for 4mm Allen wrench)
  • Traditional dot inlays
  • 10mm diameter pegholes
  • Without mounting holes, so you can drill to fit your body

Peghead is drilled for 6-in-line tuning machines. 10mm-diameter holes fit sealed gear tuners with threaded peghead bushing. See all tuners.

Specifications
Scale length 25-1/2" (647.70mm)
Width at nut 1-11/16" (42.86mm)
Width at 22nd fret 2-3/16" (55.56mm)
Fretwire .045" high x .095" wide (1.14mm x 2.41mm)
Approximate heel length 3-5/8" (92.07mm)
Fretboard radius 9-1/2" (241.30mm)
String post spread 4-11/16" (119.06mm)

Neck thickness (approximate; not including fret)

Ideally, the neck should just drop into the neck-pocket, or be a little snug. Don't force the neck into the pocket. If the body is unfinished, remember that the finish will make the neck pocket smaller with lacquer build up on the edge of the rout. Be sure to compensate for the finish buildup or the neck will be too tight after finishing.

really disappointed that the fret ends needed filing. All of them. Sticking out past the finish. Otherwise I'm happy

Very Smooth Action

By

I purchased the Mighty Mite Amber Neck and wasn't expecting much more than a standard Fender part. Boy, was I surprised. This neck looks great and plays even better. There is something very smooth about it... maybe the frets they are using?

LOVE THESE NECKS

By

Verified Buyer

I have now used four Strat necks and three Tele necks from Stew-Mac. I built one neck on my own which was fulfilling , but time consuming, especially without the proper tools. Someday I'll have all the tools I need. I then bought necks on ebay, which turned out to be a crap shoot. These necks are the real deal. The frets are filed which is a time saver and the truss rods have needed very little adjustment. I am very happy with this product .
