Through-body Guitar Neck

About This Item

You can add your own custom body sides and peghead shape to this expertly crafted unfinished hard rock maple neck.

You'll save a lot of time and work, too: the back of the neck is shaped and sanded, and the radiused fingerboard is fretted and inlaid. Add one of our Guitar Body Blanks and you'll have an excellent start toward crafting your own custom solidbody.

The neck features an 8-degree angled undrilled blank peghead, a radiused fingerboard with dot inlays, side dots, 24 polished frets, 2 carbon fiber reinforcement rods, and a slotted graphite nut for easy tuning.

To keep your guitar in top playing condition, a double-action truss rod with 4mm Allen nut is adjustable at the peghead, using an Allen Truss Rod Wrench. Truss rod cover included.

Great neck !!!

(Customer's Reviews)

I've tested this neck thru neck, and is very happy with it.
Sawn in half Mahogany Mosrite style guitar with bad neck, and it was as expected with the new neck thru neck. Old gibson bridge, with titanium stopbar tailpiece and titanium bridge saddles.
Removed two frets, from 24 to 22

Through body neck for an all Maple SG

(Customer's Reviews)

After talking to the kind folks at Stewmac I purchased a through body neck with an ebony fretboard. It fit my needs perfectly ad made the quick creation of the Tortured Maple SG very easy. With a tortured maple front cap and a quilted/spalted maple back the guitar really sings. Thanks for the help.

Great Neck!

(Customer's Reviews)

I bought one of these through-body necks about 8 years ago for an early guitar build (Rickenbacker 325 style, but full-scale) that my father was helping me with. This neck arrived with nicely finished frets and enough material on the headstock to cut a wide variety of designs. I was however somewhat dismayed that the neck heel began quite a distance from the 24th fret, as it took some time for me to use a spoke shave and other appropriate tools to make a longer playing area on the back of the neck. After gluing up the swamp ash body sides and routing the contours/cavities, I could see that the finished product would indeed look very niceùpossibly more interesting than the guitars I was modeling. I didnÆt realize it would have so much sustain though! I've now been playing this guitar for years, complete with Golden Age humbuckers, and I absolutely love this instrument. The neck profile allows for extremely fast playing and is comfortable for any playing style. IÆve received countless comments about it, regarding both looks and tone, and I couldnÆt be too much happier with it!
