Mighty Mite Neck for Fender Bass

About This Item

Shaped, inlaid, fretted and finished - feels and plays great! Hard rock maple finished in clear satin polyurethane, with a walnut "skunk stripe" down the back.

The 20 frets are nicely finished, and the nut is shaped and slotted. Maple or rosewood fretboard with dot inlays and side markers.

Screwholes for attaching to the body are not drilled. Each neck has a truss rod with a 4mm adjusting nut at the peghead. We recommend Allen Truss Rod Wrench for adjusting neck relief.

The 23/32"-diameter pegholes fit our Adjustable Tension Bass Tuners.

More specifications:
Scale length 34" (863.60mm)
Width at nut 1-5/8" (41.28mm)
Width at 20th fret 2-1/2" (63.50mm)
Fretboard radius 9-1/2" (241.30mm)
Fretwire .042" high x .105" wide (1.07mm x 2.67mm)

Should do quite nicely.

It'll be going on a one-off custom-bodied bass of wormy chestnut wings and a cherry core.
For the price, should come with a bone nut and a choice of an ebony fretboard. The frets and finish are as good as anything else out there.

Less than mediocre

Extremely thin fingerboard. Frets are not even close to level, dents in fingerboard. Back of neck was not very well rounded - had to sand to correct hard edges around skunk stripe.
Would definitely not buy again. You get what you pay for I guess. Not up to the usual standard for Stewmac stuff.

Fender Jazz Bass tone

By
(Customer's Reviews)

The neck is amazing, I used it on DIY Jazz Bass to replace a "pau-marfim" one that gives a warmer tone a bit away from that Fender vintage tone I was looking for. Now I've got it! and I have a Precision bass in the same condition just waiting for one of this necks.

Mighty-Mite necks are one of the best buys you can find. I have used many of them, and have never had issue with one, as I have had with other inexpensive necks. The heel, the fretwork, overall finish, are all first-rate. They are sealed with a thin layer of poly, you can hardly tell it is there.
